The Northern Territory's capital is famous for it's festivals and markets, Aboriginal culture and art and of course, crocodiles! The Mindil Beach Markets are one of the most popular spots, as well as the sparkling Darwin Waterfront with it's strip of drinking and dining options.
From Darwin, sail across the harbour to the Tiwi Islands, drive yourself through Kakadu and venture into Litchfield National Park. The city is the gateway to plenty of day trips and weekend escapes.
So many people say you can't swim in Darwin, but that is most definitely a myth. Darwin is home to a number of public swimming pools, water parks, a recreational lagoon and wave pool and incredible natural pools not far from the CBD.
